Hello,
I just move my M26from shipyard to marina, during the trip with 4 people in the cockpit some water (2Cm) entering from draining hole. off course when some move front in the boat the water drain out.
Is this normal? i ask this due the fact for my is first time with this kind of boat and I would like to know if this happen normally. I leaved open the seacock ....

It happens occasionally when you have plenty of crew, a lot of load in the aft and are sailing on a beat so that the boat heels. It is nothing to bother about.

Compared to a standard IF-boat, an M26 also carries the extra weight of the engine in the aft regions.

The M26 cockpit is also located further aft than on the IF-boat.

This also depends on where the drains are located longitudinally compared to an IF-boat. For an IF-boat the drains are located in the aft end of the cockpit, but maybe the drains of an M26 are located forward or in the middle.

Hi maia, the holes are located same position of if boat, I changed the hose and the original was straight the news make like a "s" , I hope this will not the cause or I change again with more straight hose.

It seems as if more M26 owners note that water is coming in to the cockpit. There is even a smart tip there on how to put a short tube on top of the drains when sailing, and remove them when the boat is resting.

Really smart for flat water... :-))

But it prevents the function of the drains for heavy sea conditions, when water is coming into the cockpit from above...:-((
